Place one pod at the base of your plant or just below the soil surface, then water as you normally would. The shell dissolves in 30 to 90 seconds and the nutrients release into the root zone gradually over 8 to 10 weeks. It is the same method in a windowsill pot, a window box, or a patio planter.

One BioPod feeds for 8 to 10 weeks in typical conditions. Outdoors in hot weather plants drink more, so check at the eight week mark. A 12-pack is twelve pods, roughly a dollar each. A small pot uses one pod per feeding, so that is about two years of feeding; a large pot uses two or three at a time and gets through them faster.

About one pod per six inches of pot diameter. One pod for a 4-to-6-inch pot, two for 8-to-10 inches, three for 12 inches and up. For window boxes and long planters, one pod per six inches of length.

Yes. Balcony and patio pots, window boxes, planters and ornamentals all use the same pods and the same pot-size dosing, so nothing about the method changes when you step outside. Outdoor plants in hot weather feed a little faster, so check at eight weeks rather than ten.

BioPod is odor-light by design. There are no dusty powders, no strong chemical smells, and no open bags of granular fertilizer. The controlled biological process inside the pod prevents the uncontrolled decomposition that causes odor in some organic products.

A blend of organic, plant-derived and ocean-derived nutrients with beneficial soil microbes, arranged in four functional compartments inside a water-soluble cellulose paper shell. No synthetic fertilizers of any kind.

It is very hard to. The organic blend releases gradually and does not deliver the salt shock that makes concentrated synthetics risky. Follow the pot-size guidance; extra pods will not make a plant grow faster.

The shell is water-soluble paper, cellulose fibre from FSC-sourced wood pulp. It dissolves in soil within 30 to 90 seconds when watered, biodegrades fully, and leaves no residue. No plastic film, no PVA, no polymer coating.

Every nutrient input is derived from plant or ocean sources, and there are no synthetic fertilizers in the blend. "Organic" on a fertilizer label is a regulated term, so we describe our inputs precisely rather than leaning on the word.

None. The shell is biodegradable cellulose. The packaging uses compostable materials. From the pod to the pouch, there is zero plastic.

PVA dissolves impressively, but it is still a synthetic, petroleum-derived polymer, and dissolving is not the same as biodegrading. The science on its full breakdown is still debated. Our founder is an environmental scientist; she chose paper, which is not part of that debate.
