This is a plain-language summary of how BioPod handles your information.
The short version
We collect the minimum we need to keep you informed and to run the Plant Care Portal. We do not sell your personal information. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
What we collect
- Waitlist and contact forms. When you use a form on this site, it opens a message in your own email app, addressed to us, with the details you typed (such as your name, email, and what you grow). You send it from your own email account, so we receive it directly. We do not use a third-party form service to collect it.
- Plant Care Portal. The plants you add to the Portal (names, optional species and pot size, feeding dates, and notes) are stored locally in your own web browser using browser storage. By default this data stays on your device and is not sent to us.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, our host may log standard request information such as approximate location and browser type for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To send you launch news, early access, and updates you asked for.
- To respond to your questions and partnership or investor inquiries.
- To operate and improve the Plant Care Portal and the site.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not send marketing you did not ask for.
- We do not require an account to use the Plant Care Portal.
Email reminders (optional, later)
If we add optional email reminders for refeeding, we will only email you if you opt in and provide an address, and every reminder will include a one-click way to unsubscribe.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link in that email.
- Clear Portal data yourself by removing plants in the Portal or clearing your browser storage for this site.
- Request deletion of any information you have sent us by emailing [email protected].
Children
BioPod is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
